Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated August 2026
Slatejack charges one thing: a monthly membership fee to listed trade businesses. Job payments never pass through us, so this policy covers memberships first and job cancellations second.
1. What Slatejack charges
Slatejack LLC charges listed businesses a recurring monthly membership fee for their listing, published rate card and lead access. Clients are never charged by Slatejack LLC for searching, booking or filing a report.
Slatejack LLC is a matching and record-keeping service only. We do not collect, hold or refund job payments, and we are not responsible for the work, pricing or conduct of any listed business.
2. Free trial
New business accounts get a 14-day trial. If you cancel before the trial ends you are not charged. If you do not cancel, the first monthly fee is charged automatically at the end of the trial.
3. Billing cycle and renewal
Membership renews automatically every month on the anniversary of your first paid day until you cancel. Prices may change with 30 days' written notice; the new price applies from your next renewal.
4. Cancelling a membership
Cancel any time from your business dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — your listing stays live until then, and you will not be billed again.
We do not pro-rate partial months. Fees already charged for the current period are not refunded except as described below.
5. Membership refunds
We refund the most recent monthly fee in these cases: (a) a duplicate or clearly erroneous charge; (b) a billing amount that does not match your selected plan; (c) Slatejack suspends or removes your listing for reasons other than your breach of our terms; (d) a documented outage that made your listing unavailable for more than seven consecutive days in that billing period.
Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the charge by emailing Slatejackapp@gmail.com with your business name and the charge date. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
We do not refund because a membership generated fewer leads than expected. Listing exposure is not a guaranteed volume of work.
6. Suspension for cause
If a listing is suspended or terminated for breach — including charging above the published rate card, letting a licence or insurance policy lapse, or misrepresenting verification information — the current period's fee is not refunded.
7. Job cancellations between client and business
A client may cancel a booking request in their account at any time before the business accepts it, at no cost.
Once accepted, cancellation terms are set by the business and must be published on its rate card — for example a call-out or trip fee. If a fee is not on the published rate card at the moment of booking, the business may not charge it.
Because Slatejack does not collect job payment, any refund of a deposit or fee already paid to a business is handled directly by that business. If a business refuses a refund that its own published rate card requires, file an overcharge report and we will review the rate snapshot and act on the listing.
8. Chargebacks
Please contact Slatejackapp@gmail.com before disputing a membership charge with your bank. Accounts with an open chargeback may have their listing paused until the dispute is closed.
